Location based services and digital marketing By Jason Brooks of Brooks Digital Marketing I have just found a superb new product that may be added to your digital marketing tools! You may have heard a little bit about location based services? It is the power to track cars in a company fleet supply advertising to folk when they're in a certain location like a mall or be fed info about a certain location when they enter the vicinity. These services can be accessed thru 3g telephones and PCs but also through your SatNav and I found a brilliant site that really enables you to upload tours that may be downloaded and accessed when needed. These sorts of services have been really hamstrung by the fragmentation of technologies and the slow adoption of hardware. Sooner ort later though this situation is going to change for good and is actually starting to happen. the iphone especially is coming up with apps that are allowing to do more and more on the move and the ability to download information from specific locations is an obvious use of a mobile device. Given that phones will get better as time goes by with screens that expand on demand and stereo sound, the presentations available will just get more impressive. The idea of actually creating a presentation of some sort would seem like a pretty tricky thing to do and would put most companies off however if you check out this site www.geovative.com you'll see that it is really easy. If I were an estate agent for example, I'd put something together about each of the areas I sell property in so that potetntial buyers can have a scout around in a car and find out about the local schools, amenities and everything else. It is great for building trust in a brand and is cheap too. Why not be the first to try this in your industry or area?
